The Social Service Agency is launching a new phase of the implementation of the state program for professional training and retraining of job seekers. Today, Mari Bezarashvili, Head of the Employment Programs Department of the LEPL Social Service Agency met with the heads of vocational education institutions involved in the program. The program provides vocational training - retraining and internship for job seekers in demand in the labor market in order to increase their competitiveness and promote further employment. Short-term training - training programs were developed based on a pre-conducted labor market survey that identified 51 in-demand professions. The list of professions looks like this: Nursery educator, assistant nurse, web programmer, cashier, advertising agent, stylist, secretary-referent, welder, accountant. The duration of short-term training courses varies from 2 to 4 months, depending on the profession. And 44 accredited vocational educational institutions selected by the Ministry of Science.They are represented in Tbilisi and 17 municipalities of Georgia: Mtskheta, Telavi, Sagarejo, Gurjaani, Marneuli, Gori, Akhaltsikhe, Kutaisi, Zestaponi, Tsalenjikha, Poti, In addition to short-term courses, the Social Service Agency will assist interested parties in completing internships in private institutions, provided that the intern meets the requirements of a private organization to apply for an internship in a vacant position. Ad State Intern will pay 200 GEL each month for a maximum of 3 months in the form of a scholarship. Vocational training - one of the components of the training program is on-the-job training - internship, which is already successfully implemented across the country. At the same time, a subsidy program has been launched to promote employment. The program will involve Georgian citizens over 16 years of age who are registered in the labor market management information system - www.worknet.gov.ge and agree to undergo training - a short-term training course. Registration of job seekers for enrollment in the program will take place from April 30 to May 4. Those wishing to participate in the training programs should visit the branches of the Social Service Agency according to the place of residence, where they will select the desired profession and register in the labor market management information system at worknet.gov.ge to participate in the program. Preference is given to the socially vulnerable, people with disabilities, probationers and other low-competitive groups. By doing so, the state provides them with an additional opportunity to acquire skills suitable for the needs of the labor market in a short period of time in this or that profession in order to increase employment opportunities.
